Development Project of Al_Sharashif Mountain

Visitors of Makkah can simply note the unplanned areas that spread out throughout the holy city and the urgent need for an urgent treatment. The government has approved Regulation of Slums Areas Developments.Al-Sharashif Mountain area is considered with a high priority in evelopment, because it\'s in close location to the Holy Mosque and its low level of urban organization. This slums areas near the Holy Mosque will be transferred to a multi used urban planned on a global level. This contribution will improve the urban fabric of Makkah. The area of Al-Sharashif Mountain under development is about 1.7 million square meters, with a distance of 500 meters away from the Holy Mosque.The area bounded from the north with Parallel King Abdulaziz Road and Jabal Omar project, from the east Ebrahim Alkhaleel Street, from the south cross of Ebrahim Alkhaleel Street with Jorhum Street, and from the west Jorhum Street.All the required studies have been prepared for the project by international and local consultants . In the beginning of Muharram,1435AH, An announcement for Al-Sharashif Mountain area was made as a \" development area\". In the near future will be announced for the dates of the reception owners to scrutinize the documents that prove ownership, which means starting the actual implementation of the development of Al-Sharashif Mountain.

Urban renewal for the built environment of Makkah’s unplanned settlements which creates a well-planned urban pattern, balanced housing supply, and efficient street and utility networks

The total approximate site area is 500,000 square meters, and the closest area to the Haram within Nakkasa is on 2.5 km distance. Located between 2nd Ring Road and Jabal Thawr Road, Nakkasa will be site of a mixed-use development which includes residential, retail, and accommodation options.

Purpose of the affordable housing project ( Wahat Makkah ) is to provide adequate housing for low-income people with high quality, taking into consideration to meet the demand on various types of housing and to provide appropriate design solutions while reducing costs and speed construction.The total area of ​​parks and streets 25,000 m2 , built up area 670,000 m2, while the area of residential buildings ​​290,000 m2, services buildings is estimated about 40,000 m2. The project when completed, is expected to accommodate from twenty thousand to twenty five thousand residence. The project is expected to be completed in full in five years, including the past two years. The estimated value of the project is 1.4 billion Saudi Riyals

The project of Darb Almashaeer is considered as a link between Holy Sites and the Holy Mosque. it’s considered also, the most important tributaries for pedestrian between Holy Sites and Holy Mosque.The site forms gateway to the Holy Mosque from the East side , and a natural extension of Jamarat bridge.Project site area is about 98.562 m2 and BUA about 768.776 m2, gardens and streets area is 23655 m2.
